Nele Eley
DVM, Dr. med. Vet. DipECVDI (Radiology)
Dr. Nele Eley, Dr. med. vet., DipECVDI, is a board-certified European specialist in veterinary diagnostic imaging and Head of Diagnostic Imaging at Justus-Liebig-University, Giessen. A co-founder of VetRad and a consultant with SonoPath, she is internationally recognized for her expertise in MRI, CT, and ultrasound, particularly in neuroimaging and musculoskeletal disorders. Dr. Eley has authored numerous peer-reviewed studies and is a leading educator in advanced imaging techniques. Her deep clinical insight, academic leadership, and global contributions to veterinary radiology make her a highly respected and sought-after speaker at international veterinary conferences and summits.

John D. Bonagura
DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVIM
John D. Bonagura, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Cardiology, Internal Medicine), is Professor Emeritus of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at The Ohio State University and Adjunct Professor of Cardiology at both NC State and Colorado State. A graduate of OSU, he completed specialty training in cardiology and internal medicine and has held academic positions at the University of Missouri and the University of Edinburgh. He has authored over 300 publications and co-authored major cardiology texts. Longtime editor of Kirk’s Current Veterinary Therapy, Dr. Bonagura is widely recognized for his contributions to veterinary education, research, and clinical cardiology across the globe. Dr. Bonagura is known for his clarity, depth of knowledge, and commitment to advancing veterinary medicine through thoughtful scholarship and mentorship.

Dominique Penninck
DVM, PhD, DACVR, DECVDI
Dr. Dominique Penninck, DVM, PhD, DACVR, DECVDI, is a dual-boarded radiologist and full professor at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, where she has led the small animal ultrasound service since 1989. She earned her DVM and PhD from the University of Liège and completed her radiology residency at UC Davis. A world-renowned expert in veterinary ultrasonography and winner of the Pfizer Award for Excellence in Veterinary Research, Dr. Penninck has authored over 110 peer-reviewed publications, presented more than 100 lectures globally, and co-edits the acclaimed Atlas of Small Animal Ultrasonography. Her grant-supported research focuses on gastrointestinal imaging and innovations in ultrasound education.

Dr. Eric Lindquist, DVM, DABVP (Canine & Feline), Cert. IVUSS, is a veterinary clinical sonography innovator and founder/CEO of SonoPath. With three decades of clinical experience, he created SDEP®, a veterinary ultrasound protocol used globally to bring efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability to diagnostic imaging. Board-certified since 2003, he has lectured worldwide including ACVIM, ECVIM, and EVDI, published in top journals, and authored the Curbside Guide to Clinical Sonography (Volumes 1& 2).
