Schedule Information for the weekend
General 2-day (Fri. & Sat.) and 3-day Lab Weekend Schedule Friday – Sunday:
- 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Light breakfast & morning lectures
- 3 hr scanning lab each day
- 2-Day lab (2 scanning labs on Sat.)
- Lunch break
- Afternoon lectures
- Friday night Welcome Reception after lab day
- Breakfast, snacks and lunch are included
Half Day Sampling Lab Schedule (Sunday after 2-day lab):
- 8:00am – 10:00am: Lectures
- 10:00am – 1:00pm: scanning lab (FNAs & biopsy procedures)
Lodging
We have compiled a list of lodging options for your weekend. Our beautiful area of northern New Jersey offers several unique Bed & Breakfast experiences as well as hotels. We have included a few recommendations here (all within 20 minutes drive of SonoPath Veterinary Education Center location).
We have noted below lodging that has discounted group rates for lab weekend attendees.
Air Travel & Local Transportation
Local Transportation
If you want to go out for a bite to eat or explore the area after your lab day – we recommend renting a car for easier transportation, however Uber and Lyft is accessible as well.

Air Travel
The closest airport is Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). If traveling by plane, we encourage you to book your return flight NO EARLIER than 7pm on Sunday.
Traveling to and from the airport via car service or Uber/Lyft is recommended if you are not renting a car.

Please note: June and October months are very busy in our area, be sure to book early.
2026 SDEP Lab Weekend Lodging with discounted rates:
Transportation will provided to & from the Fairfield Inn & Suites to the Education Center, during lab weekends through the end of 2026.
Seating is limited. To ensure a reservation please return the survey emailed to you from our marketing team, approximately 8 weeks out from your lab weekend. We are now offering hotel shuttle morning (only) pick up service for half-day sampling labs on Sundays. For questions, please email [email protected]
