Jessica Miller, BS, RDMS, SDEP® Certified Clinical Sonographer, Director of Research & Development and On-Site Training

I am a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

I attended Rutgers the State University of New Jersey, School of Health Professions, in a Joint Degree program, Baccalaureate Degree with; Fairleigh Dickinson University to earn my B.S. in Biomedical and Health Sciences. I received the Clinical Excellence award for my skill and high remarks from the various clinical locations I rotated through.

I have always had a love and affiliation for animals, so during the time of my undergraduate studies I volunteered for the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center where it began at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center in Madison, NJ.  At the Rehabilitation Center, I acted as a “novice person” in conditioning and studies of highly fearful dogs from puppy mills and hoarding cases on their progression to trusting interactions with humans again.

I was then given the opportunity to be a Veterinary Assistant for VetDispatch Mobile House Call Veterinarians, riding along with many talented Doctors to assist on in-home examinations.  It was at this time that I was beginning the Ultrasound training aspect of my degree so filling out lab forms and logging blood work, while being quizzed by my doctors gave me a depth of understanding of the clinical correlations of these tests in conjunction with the organs I would come to scan day in and day out!

After graduating, I worked for RWJ Barnabas Health in General Ultrasound, and Atlantic Health in High-Risk Maternal Fetal Medicine. To this day I am also an adjunct instructor for my Alma Mater, Rutgers School of Health Professions where I instruct future Sonographers and Physician Assistants on the importance of accurate and thorough scanning and image acquisition.

I began my journey with SonoPath in 2021; ecstatic to have found a team of like-minded individuals where I can bring my in-depth ultrasound skills and love for veterinary medicine together to provide topnotch care, support and training to our patients and clients every day.

Currently I reside in Sussex County, N.J. and enjoy spending my free time with my husband, our tuxedo cat “Darwin” and half-amazing half-terrific mixed dog “Sage”. I love traveling, skiing, hiking, thrifting, singing, and dabbling on guitar and music creation with friends.ts
