Feline - Liver - Hyperechoic Liver

Name: Smokey

Signalment: 11 year old MN DSH

Radiologist's Description: This is a longitudinal view of the mid liver showing the gall bladder (11 o’clock position), and falciform fat (top). The liver has a marked, diffusely hyperechoic parenchyma compared to the falciform fat. These findings are consistent with an infiltrative process such as hepatic lipidosis or, less likely, lymphoma.

Definitive Diagnosis: USG FNA: Hepatic lipidosis.
