Name: Zorro
Signalment: 8 year old MN Dogue de Bordeux
Radiologist's Description: An ovoid, discretely marginated, peripherally hypoechoic, centrally echogenic nodule is present within the cranial middle liver (arrow). The nodule mildly, focally displaces the gall bladder (GB) wall without evidence of involvement. Power flow Doppler demonstrates moderate perfusion within the nodule. Conclusions: This is an hepatic target lesion compatible with metastatic neoplasia. The presence of pleural effusion could also support a multiple organ neoplastic process. Benign pathology such as nodular hyperplasia cannot be definitively ruled out. However, the presence of pleural effusion also supports a multiple organ neoplasic process.
Definitive Diagnosis: No sampling was performed. US/Clinical Dx: Malignant metastatic dual cavity neoplasia.
